1. What are the benefits of a raised dog bowl?

Raised dog bowls position your dog's food and water higher off the floor, which many owners find provides a more comfortable feeding position, particularly for larger breeds, senior dogs, and pets with reduced mobility. If your dog has a medical condition, we recommend seeking advice from your veterinarian before choosing a feeding height.

2. How do I choose the correct height for my dog bowl stand?

As a general guide, measure from the floor to the top of your dog's front leg (shoulder height). Your dog should be able to reach the bottom of the bowl comfortably without twisting or stretching. Because every feeder is handmade to order, we can adjust the height by up to 5 cm at no additional cost.

3. Can you make a custom height?

Yes. Every feeder is handmade to order, so we're happy to increase the height by up to 5 cm or reduce it to suit your dog's requirements. Simply leave your measurements when placing your order.

4. Are the bowls dishwasher safe?

Yes. All of our premium stainless steel bowls are food-grade, removable and dishwasher safe for quick and easy cleaning.

5. What materials are used?

Our feeders are handcrafted using strong curved wood, finished with premium food-safe kitchen-grade laminates. They are sealed with natural beeswax and fitted with stainless steel bowls, rubber feet and foam bowl supports.

6. Are your feeders suitable for large dogs?

Yes. Our Large, X-Large and XX-Large feeders are designed for medium, large and giant breeds including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds and similar-sized dogs.

7. Are your feeders suitable for cats?

Absolutely. Many of our customers purchase our Small and Medium feeders for cats. We can also adjust the height if required.

8. Do the bowls move or rattle?

No. We fit foam rubber inserts around each bowl to minimalise movement and reduce rattling during mealtimes.

9. Will the stand slide across the floor?

No. Every feeder is fitted with non-slip rubber feet to help keep it securely in place on most floor surfaces. You will need to wipe the feet and floor occasionally to maintain the grip.

10. What colours are available?

Our raised dog bowl stands are available in a wide range of contemporary laminate finishes, allowing you to choose a style that complements your home. 

11. How durable are your dog bowl stands?

Our feeders are designed for everyday use and finished with premium kitchen-grade laminates that are highly durable, scratch resistant and easy to wipe clean. We have customers coming back to us after ten years saying their feeder still looks great.

12. Are your products handmade?

Yes. Every Lola & Daisy Designer Pets feeder is individually handcrafted in our Central Scotland workshop. We make every order by hand rather than mass producing our products.

13. How long will my order take?

As every feeder is handmade to order, production times vary depending on demand. Please refer to the delivery information shown when ordering for the latest lead times.

14. Can I request a slow feeder bowl?

For many of our models, yes. Please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the correct slow feeder bowl for your chosen feeder.

15. Can I use the bowls for food and water?

Yes. Our stainless steel bowls are suitable for both food and water, making them ideal as a complete feeding station.

16. How do I clean the feeder?

Simply wipe the laminated wooden stand with a damp cloth. The removable stainless steel bowls are dishwasher safe.

17. Is every feeder exactly the same size?

Because every feeder is individually handmade using curved wood, very slight variations may occur. This is part of the character of handcrafted furniture.

18. Do you ship throughout the UK?
